Difference of Pultrusion carbon fiber tube and pull winding carbon fiber tube:
Pultrusion carbon fiber tube:
Pultrusion converts reinforced carbon fibers and liquid resin into a carbon fiber reinforced Plastic(CFRP) via a pulling and extrusion principles.
The carbon fibers are saturated by being pulled & extruded through a resin bath, Pull through a heated steel die .Then shaped into a round tube(also can be shaped different shape,For example square tube, solid rod etc) . The advantage of pultrusion process is that it produces a continuous,Unidirectional length of tubes/rods that can be cut different size after curing. Pultrusion process carbon fiber tube have high output, So it price is lower than roll wrapped /filament winding carbon fiber tubes.
The disadvantage of pultrusion is pultrusion make all carbon fiber have only one direction--Length direction 0°. It make the carbon fiber tube have good tension in length direction. But easy split when compression or torsion. It make us considering another process-pull winding,
Pull-winding carbon fiber tube
Pull-winding carbon fiber tube have advantage of pultrusion. It also increased different angle of carbon fiber,for example +/-45°, +/-70° etc according to clients request, So that it can increase carbon fiber tube's good reistant for torsion /compression.
Pull-winding carbon fiber tube also have high output, It price is lower than roll wrapped/filament winding carbon fiber tubes.
